The Director, Quality & Risk Management position serves our Ambulatory areas and is located in Indianapolis, IN.
The Quality & Risk Management Director implements and manages the quality, safety, and risk management program for Community’s integrated physician group and ambulatory locations, to include identification, investigation, and analysis of risk exposures, and ensures a safe environment for patients, visitors and employees by applying risk principles. The Director assists in management of claims and quality improvement processes, interfaces with legal counsel, and maintains compliance with The Joint Commission regulatory readiness and other required regulatory standards to protect the financial resources of the facility.
Five (5) years of nursing experience required. Experience in Healthcare Quality Improvement/Regulatory Compliance, Safety and/or Risk Management preferred.
Bachelor in Nursing required. Certification in Healthcare Risk (CPHRM) and/or Certification in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) a plus.
Valid and current IN RN license; CPHRM and or CPHQ certification within 3 years of employment.
Strong knowledge of healthcare business and/or risk management.
Effective written and verbal communication skills required.
Critical thinking, conflict resolution and strong organizational skills needed.
Systems knowledge; ability to identify and improve organization-wide priorities.
Knowledge of and demonstrated expertise in all aspects of quality management/performance improvement and risk management functions.
Current knowledge of regulatory agency standards, including The Joint Commission, CMS, and relevant State regulations. Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations, and accreditation standards. Ability to interpret regulatory standards and develop pragmatic approaches to meet or exceed standards.
Experience in loss prevention, or claims process; safety management; and finance are advantageous.
Knowledge of outpatient operations and problems encountered in the delivery of health care is essential.
